THANKS BOCC69 and OWEGI!!!!
YEah.....no reason ---for ME anyway--- to spend THOUSANDS on amps------ though I have played through AC30's and WALLS of PEaveys and stuff.......my hearing issues dont allow me to turn the ones I have above Vol level 4 ever....usually I am around a 2.5. So why realistically would I need 1000 WATTS of Bugera BASS power Chris???? Why ask???? ---- because I WANT IT!!!![]()

Here is the 80...Bass Amp, Peavey TKO 80Adrian, I found your bass amp's long lost twin brother on Ebay...for only $89.99! He just needs a bath. You'll need to drive to Taylors, SC to pick him up:

Nice, and I finally can see the pic... Yay! What kind of amp circuit is this? Those sort of prices are the reason I built this.

It was a real learning experience but worth it.
Good idea, if it can be done.Hey Wavmixer! These voting threads kind of lose the voting bit because it is at the start of page 1, and here we are on page 4, so it is now lost in the mists of time. Is there any way to place it at the end, so it is always right there below the most recent post?
Ok,
Let me respond in a different way....I'm super practical. If I had $1,000,000USD I would still buy a Ford Mustang. If I had limitless funds to spend on an amp, it would be a re-issue JCM 800 Full Stack. There isn't anything better, at any price, from my experience in live performance settings...although I would have to buy a new Ford Flex just to transport it....![]()

Anymore pics of the "goods"?
I voted the cheapest check box, up to $450. I think it was. Big surprise huh?
I cant justify and dont have big money to spend, on anything. The house and bills get paid first.
My skill level doesnt justify it either.
The folklore of the legendary amps intrigues me but I dont have any Holy Grails that I pine for.
I drool a bit sometimes, like when 67plexi posts ^^^^^^, but more so in reverence for the legacy and role in music history.
The Silkyn Super 50, with the impossible to find off the shelf replacement PT totals out at $416.
My other amps: 10w peavey practice amp $40 used, my son uses it daily- now with my G400.
the clone builds: 5F1/5F2a Champ with Princeton tone pot, 5E3 Deluxe, and 18w TMB, each come in at well under $300. each.
the fit and finish is not store bought looks wise, but the tones deliver.
I can cover a lot of tone ground with these, except the hi gain stuff.
I'm happy with what I have and expect to be for a while.
I wont turn away from another Ubuy find: with major parts on the cheap I'll build whatever I can, especially since I fab chassis and cabs that are good enough.
mine was 35.00
