Me too. I'm down to 8 guitars. One is a bass and one is an acoustic 6 string. I just finished reuniting my stable after some of them spending a year visiting @Sp8ctre .BFT, how many guitars do you have right now? I only have 8 if I include the bass.
Okay dudes....that comet is badass
There was no moon out tonight, so it was especially friggin dark out in the boonies. We could see the milky way, and it's cloudy streak across the sky. Not something I get to see too often these days. Took it for granted when I was younger and it was an every night occurrence.
I picked out more satellites than I ever remember seeing all at once, several of which followed the same path, not far behind the one in front of it....an astonishing amount, really. Over the last several years we've managed pollute our skies with junk that helps us watch football, or browse the web, etc...
But that comet though....is visible with just the naked eye, a big beautiful tail...simply amazing.
All my friends think I'm a dork. I pity them, as they don't know how or why these things are magnificent.
Yeah, I am a dork. So fukcing what?
If we can get clear skies I want to try again tonight to photograph it. Wish my telescope wasn't so big, oddly. Hard to move it to where I could see Neowise.Okay dudes....that comet is badass

That eclipse was cool as poop...I traveled south to Oregon in order to see it it it's totality...If we can get clear skies I want to try again tonight to photograph it. Wish my telescope wasn't so big, oddly. Hard to move it to where I could see Neowise.
I got a great shot in like 96 when Hale Bopp came by. THIS IS NOT COMET NEOWISE.

Also a cool one of the partial eclipse here a couple years ago.

I remember seeing it, on the way to work in the morning. That eclipse was cool as...I traveled south to Oregon in order to see it it it's totality...
It's quite weird; not only do the lights go out, but on it's approach we lose different radiations and parts of the spectrum. It affects humans in a very strange way.
I saw my dad drawn to tears by this event and I won't say that I also wasn't moved in a fundamental way. Many of the other spectators got quite emotional as well!
There's another one coming across N America in 2024, IIRC....WELL WORTH THE TRIP IF YOU CAN MAKE IT!!!!!
@JohnnyGoo
Did you see the eclipse a couple years back, Goo?
It's 3:31am...
Do YOU know where YOUR old dudes are???
6:30 am now and I've been up for 3 hours already
Oh that's cool, I thought maybe you got to see it in totality - that's a whole different deal when the sun is just gone. Just the giant corona...the stars come out..like someone flipped a switchYes McBlink i did see it. I was working at the Grade School then and we all went out to the field with those glasses on and watched it.Almost complete eclipse over where im at. Was Awesome. Things started to turn yellow or something with the color spectrum. Reminded me of when we ate Mushrooms hahaha.
