Upcoming Strat build

I'm with gball on the neck pickup. Opinions are all over the place when it comes to the bridge, 2 & 4 (quack) positions etc, but most seem to agree on the single coil neck as being a definitive strat sound. Cheers
Makes sense. I can do whatever config I want. Maybe I should just go H-H!

I'm not a big Strat fan, other then I love the basic shape/comfort, but what I love about the Dimarzio Hum cancelling Pickups is they are very faithful to the Strat's original tone when played clean...It's the best of both worlds.

EMG's are real good pickups. I have them in my Jackson KING V guitar...EMG 81 in the bridge position and EMG 85 in the neck position. I think the EMG 81 is ceramic and the EMG 85 is Alnico V. They have a real good crisp sound and bottom end which doesn't sound muddy. They are very well-defined pickups for sure and one of my favourites. They can handle any style of music in my opinion.

Batteries stress me out, although I have recently been called out on my battery sensitivity! I nay need a get over it! Thanks Black

If that guitar has a swimming pool rout you could put
the middle pickup right next to the bridge pickup as on
my EBMMY2D. You do not yet have a guitar with that
setup and I find it to be very useful and unique.
...or you could just buy a Y2D.
Music Zoo has a nice one in stock.

NO pics, NO fair, you heartless...... counselor!

Funny thing Ray, we both just did those AXL husk builds.
I had my cheap bastid eye out for an HSS strat type, and you start this one.

A local beater I found, but got no reply until a couple of days ago.
Meet set for later today.
