Upcoming Strat build

Nice!
I liked the bloom at 1:08, and some of the section around 1:38, especially...but I'm weird like that.

I was very impressed with the tone and the playing. I believe you played in a way that was very demonstrative of the pickups tonal qualities. I was equally impressed with how quiet the signal was. The sound quality is very good on that clip!

I can't say I'm a fan of the vintage, bent-steel saddles, either. I prefer the smoother cast saddles, and a two-post base plate, versus the vintage six-screw style.

All my Tele-esque Von Herndon's have the cast saddles. I think I actually like and prefer the old bent steel variants with "fender" stamped on them, Maybe it's imagination, but it seems to have a brighter tone, which I suspect may be the nature of the steel as opposed to cast materials???

I'm also a big fan of roller saddles, even if they 'rock" more than they "roll," I like them. I installed a roller ABR-1 on my Mom's Les Paul Replica and it was easier and faster to intonate....

Thank you!

The black modern bridge saddles add a nice touch to the guitar. I really like the modern saddles on my Fender Strat which makes it much easier for palm muting of the strings. I've heard a lot about SX guitars and some pretty good reviews. The best part about SX guitars is the price. You can't beat it! I bought my '98 Fender Strat in 2005 at a pawn shop for about $1,100 w/ case...pretty expensive when you can get a real good guitar for a fraction of the price. Now all you need now is a whammy bar so you can play "Purple Haze" or should I say "Red Haze" like your guitar.

Thank you! They really are a nice value. With a quality maple neck and alder or swamp ash body, how can you go wrong
