Also, the maintenance procedure is far less intuitive, and there is usually no instruction manual, only a complicated schematic.Tube amp upkeep is just like owning a car. If you can bias and re tube it, or check caps for DC resistance you do it just as you would do maintaining a car properly. Change the oil , spark plugs, battery or belts you do it if not/can't/wont you take it to a tech, as you would an amp. I see ne reason for any protracted controversy about that
