The overdrive of the 808 is a bit smoother than the TS9. Both awesome pedals when dialed in. The mid hump statement is the first I've heard of it.

Same here...I'm new to this. Only overdrive pedal I ever had was a DOD FX50 back in 1984, and the only reason I had that was to drive my Traynor bass rig

He's got the best tone I have heard from a DSL40C yet....

That tone is absolutely killer! I think for 20-25 bucks on that pedal it’s really not too much of a gamble. Hell after a few vids I’ve been really impressed with Behringer as a whole.

There is a Joyo clone as well. I can't remember what it is called but is green. Everyone seems to like the Digitech Bad Monkey but it has gone out of production. It has an output that you can send straight into a mixing desk for scratch tracks etc
