The virus was found living on the walls of a cruse ship 17 days after the passengers left the ship.
This is not a drill, this is serious poop.

We are wiping everything with 70-90% alcohol. (soon as you get back in your car, decontaminate)
We are bleaching the bottoms of our shoes with 10% Clorox.
We are touching gas pumps and pin pads with a paper towel wrapped around our hand.

Great time for central Florida to be in a drought.
We need rain something fierce. My yard crunches when I walk.
Only dew I see in the mornings is on hard surfaces.
I'm surprised roadside wildfires haven't started already.
I'd welcome 80 percent humidity right now.
 
It's scary, sure. But it is also scarier because are in a 24 hour a day news cycle PLUS the internet and social media. Everyone.....don't let it get you down. We will get through this. Understand the politics on both sides, or maybe I should say ALL sides, they all have agendas. Don't fall for any of it. Just do what seems rational for yourself, and take care of yourself and your family.

I quit watching the news as well. In Canada both our federal and provincial governments have daily briefings from the head doctor plus the premier/prime minster and possibly appropriate ministers. They then have an online press conference. That is where I get my news. They are willing to answer any questions. They are very honest. When they can't say or don't know the answer they say that. No doublespeak, well limited doublespeak :) They are politicians but for the most part the briefings are very useful and everyone knows what is going on and what the rules are. Today the prime minister announced that people who don't follow the rules about distancing, gathering in groups, etc will be fined and possibly jailed. Provincially the premier of BC canceled all city emergency declarations and put the whole province under one authority so that there is consistency.
 
I have a family member who is an esteemed member of the DOD and he usually doesn't have conversations with anybody except about music, the weather, things like that. Nothing at all about work, ever! Well, one night he said every single thing you watch on TV or read in the papers is not actually what is really happening around the world. And that's all I can say. We then spoke about Frank Zappa and his music the rest of the night

My father was was high up in the DOD, and traveled under a diplomatic passport. He always said the same thing. Then we'd talk about sports.

Another little piece of information...

Bleach and hydrogen peroxide are also effective at killing the virus. Of course, you have to be careful, as these products can damage or discolor surfaces, as well. Also, don’t mix them with anything except water, as dangerous gases can result.

try sending COVID to my house -- they will GAS THE "F" outta that thing !!! WQas trying to play bass a minute ago and 2 of the big ones let lose--- a couple BIG ONES and I had to leave the room my eyes were watering
