Old dudes are asleep...

temps to drop? whats the temp?

fireworks -- no bueno -- puppies no like
Our pup tends to be fairly fearless, but somewhere around 10:30 or so last night took her out for here evening pee. Neighbors were still at it. Walked around and sniffed a bit and then was like.. nope..... outa here and was back at the door wanting back in.

All the older dogs could care less----
ODIN was freaking out ---- (a freaked out Giant dog can be a REAL P.I.A.!!!-- and do property damage) ---
we tried a "spin off"of a product called the "thunder shirt" --- basically we found a large size t-shirt and put it ON HIM ----within a minute-- he was calm -- relaxed..........and SLEPT through the remaining hour or two of fireworks ------

WORKED PERFECTLY and we saved about 60.00 at least.....

HERE is the link to the site-- and the "logic" (Im impressed by the ones who got a thunder shirt on their CAT!!!! (must be declawed!)

anywho-- an old t-shirt worked for us-- (obviously the shirt size varies with the dog) -- but I recommend giving it a whirl next thunder storm or fireworks event :)

Kept this thing CHILL -- and no one/thing was damaged in the process

My dogs are big wussies about it. I let them out to do their business and at the first sign of a whistle or a pop in the distance - they jet right back in.

I actually put this on the TV and turned it up loud as it would go

It's BS. It didn't work

I missed that post entirely...seems like it's worth a try at the very least. I'm not sure if I have a shirt big enough for the German Shepherd lol
He doesn't like fireworks, but he doesn't get as anxious as the border collie/heeler does...and I've got plenty of shirts that would fit her!

Adult large worked on Odin

it needs to be "snug" ---I did have to cut the neck hole so it wasnt PULLING to tight around his shoulders

I have read others used a blanket or towel and a velcro strap

in theory it makes them FEEL (I guess) like they are back ........here......safe and cuddled------look at da babies.......(this quiet moment pictured as a remembrance because in 2 weeks--- this place is going to a FRIGGIN NOISE FILLED NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!---) ugh
