Jensen speakers? Or possibly others...

Similarity is less of an issue for me, as I'm not after a 1:1 replacement of an older model. As long as it sounds good to me I'm happy :)

I think 67Plexi was meaning that if one heard a sound they liked in a Jensen speaker, it would likely have come from the older USA made ones versus the Italian ones. So, essentially saying that the Italian ones are not as good as the USA ones as a rule, sound wise.

Here are some other brands/ models of speakers I gave thought to suggest to you. If you want to do your own research fitment wise, I am sure the specs are to be found or else customer service departments. Fane, EV, Eminence all came to mind.

Another option I would pursue if I had a chance is there is a boutique amp builder near me who started Buddha amps and now East Amplification. Jeff Boner is his name. East has a 1x12 combo and as I looked at it, that speaker might fit for you. You can always try contacting Jeff at www.eastamplification.com and ask his advice and specs on a 1x12.

The problem is, being the other side of the Atlantic, goods from the US become extremely expensive, with duties , taxes and a certain amount of establishment extortion loaded on top of the price that you would pay.

Yep I know this all too well,. Beagle. And in Sweden no less. Btw. Once I was almost scheduled to ship a $600 SG to Los Angeles. The darn UPS cost was $118-$135+ if I remember right. After 2 roadblocked attempts to give it to UPS and pay that,. Only to be told they no longer take bank check payments, I told them thanks anyway and arranged to refund buyer's money.

I have purchased a few items from London area. Amp parts, Wiring and caps, etc and bulgin socket/ plug ends we can't get over here.

AT, I enjoy having you and our other Swede on here. I think back fondly to the first Swedish exchange student in my grade school days. Sadly I have forgotten his name after almost 50 years. I often wondered if he stayed in the USA or not. I do seem to remember you guys have a beautiful country.

Although some US goods also have overseas distributors? Might help on costs?
Thomann have plenty of speakers, including the Jensen P10R like was in my Princeton (though 55 years younger) for just £54 plus taxes, government bribes and £8 UPS shipping...

Beag. I have a baby Princeton. It is a Solid State Princeton Chorus with 2- 10 inch Weber 10F ceramic drivers in it. Kept the Stock Ones set aside for a cab build.

Yeah, I had one of those as a backup/practice amp sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. Sold it to a kid in a rockabilly band.
