Jensen speakers? Or possibly others...

I've settled on an Eminence Cannabis Rex. If I'm lucky I can just flip the baffle 180 degrees to clear the chassis.

Here are the specs I found

Yeah, it's 5mm too deep. The speaker is mounted off center in the baffle and it's pushed towards the top of the amp. Unless the diameter of the magnet is too large I can just flip it upside down and clear the chassis. Otherwise I'll have to make a new baffle and front load it, like @Amp Mad Scientist suggested.

I was understanding this to be what your plan was, AT. Yup, I know you can do it.

Really?! I've had one for... A long-ish time, great amps. 200 watts packed into something that fits in your gigbag.

I didn't really like the tone from the video though, I would have EQ'd mine differently.

Most of my crap is recorded using the Quilter.

AT, did you listen to the YT clip with headphones or through a phone or laptop speaker?

I always listen with headphones. I hear so much more when I do.

Nope, not without a known reference. Like a comparison between the speaker I already have and this one. I'm just shooting semi blind here.

Speaking of Reference, AT. I so want to swap out some speakers I have in a HEAVY ASS Behringer MDF 4x12 and into a solid wood cab I build like from Walnut, Cherry and or Pine or Baltic Birch plywood, and see how they sound compared to my G12 75's in my Marshall 4x12 300 watt Angled cab. The speakers are also Eminence. But they are the 8 watt Governors.

And I rather do like your Cannabis choice even though I flat out HATE anything Dope related.

Yeah, I'm good with Quilter but I didn't hear a single tone in that video I would ever want coming out of my own amp. Listened through headphones. Not a very good advertisement in my opinion and probably comes down to poor micing.

Well, it almost worked. I thought I coyld sace some money if I could get the Celestion gold in there, and I already know it sounds good. I took the Gold out of the other cab, flipped the baffle in the amp (it was tight), removed the bell from the Gold... Almost worked.

OK AT. Let me see if I can get it to fit. How much too deep is it?

In other words how far inward toward the Grille Cloth do you need to move it in order to fit?

Edit, Is the grille cloth attached to the Baffle?

10mm would make it fit, so front loading it would work but then I would have to make a new baffle. Yeah, the grill cloth is attached to the baffle but only on the back side. It would be easy to remove and reattach.
