It's interesting how many years we have not only allowed linking to other sites, but encouraged linking to other sites. What are they afraid of?The actual name works, so it's easy to find which makes the measure completely useless (besides questionable).
I mentioned another amp related site, in the same way. It was not screened out.I concur on that point, while there are of course some security concerns for posting links with autopreview enabled and such, it's immensely handy to be able to do. Why are specific URL's blocked here?

Edit: Hmmm, OK, so it's specific URL's it seems.
Loss of ad revenue. What are they afraid of?
Technically, I didn't actually "ask for it".
I made a comment that "IF" I were to be banned, it would be easier to delete my browser link.
It was probably my whitewashing comment that earned me the "devisive" accusation.
I think Cross was looking for a way to silence the discussion about deleting posts that didn't violate any rules, but were posing questions they didn't want to answer.
In any event, my ban ends tonight at midnight.
Covert operations begin at 12:01.![]()

I think he was just overwhelmed with all the griping, both in the forum and PMs, and you presented an opportunity for him to get everyone’s attention.
@PelliX I think @strummer Joe might be a member here but I haven’t seen him in some time now..

I thought he was, but can't tag him. Was his account deleted? ...or is this an example of the Mandela Effect?![]()

We have had some folks ask to be data/ID scrubbed upon exit. Others may use alternate names…we just had someone revert to their MF handle a couple of nights back.(it’s an option, but requires approval)What the heck, you're right!
I goofed when i signed up here. I had a space between Red & Guitar. It got fixed to cater to meee. Greatly appreciated..We have had some folks ask to be data/ID scrubbed upon exit. It's the first time stuck between a rock (VS) and a hard place (disgruntled members), I guess. He tried to end the debate, which he did to some degree.
Perhaps invite them to join us...?I have empathy for both Cross and Dogs Of Doom. They've been part of the community all along, and they're dealing with the same crap we are-only now they have VS to deal with. Alex pretty much left them alone to do their jobs (which they have both been outstanding at through the years), and now the new masters have come in and changed how everything is done. I would imagine they're just as frustrated as we are, except they have to put on the happy face and try to play the middle man.

Perhaps invite them to join us...?
When they're done with their day job, they can come hang out with some old friends.
Maybe they need a place to vent.
It would at least be good for some petty, back-handed, passive aggressive sci-ops.

I was thinking about that earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if either one of them (or both) jumps ship. The icing on the cake would be if they showed up here!![]()
Brother Steve, I thought I noticed over the past few days that your post count for the month has been going dow. (according to the monthly leaders blurb on the right side of the page). I thought, maybe I was buzzed and blew it off, last night I was pretty sure, so I wrote down the # of posts you had for the month, it was 178, today it was 173.I just went to check a couple of my posts and they're gone. Either that or I just can't find them with the new stupid format.
It's a shame that they do not value member's input. That is what forums are all about is members inputting information. There have been very few posts that I have deleted, usually from posting spam or porn.Brother Steve, I thought I noticed over the past few days that your post count for the month has been going dow.
