I've been banned from the Marshall Forum...

Technically, I didn't actually "ask for it".
I made a comment that "IF" I were to be banned, it would be easier to delete my browser link.
It was probably my whitewashing comment that earned me the "devisive" accusation.

I think Cross was looking for a way to silence the discussion about deleting posts that didn't violate any rules, but were posing questions they didn't want to answer.

In any event, my ban ends tonight at midnight.
Covert operations begin at 12:01. :hmmm:

I think he was just overwhelmed with all the griping, both in the forum and PMs, and you presented an opportunity for him to get everyone’s attention.

It's the first time stuck between a rock (VS) and a hard place (disgruntled members), I guess. He tried to end the debate, which he did to some degree.

@PelliX I think @strummer Joe might be a member here but I haven’t seen him in some time now..

Yup, but he's ... lazy.

I thought he was, but can't tag him. Was his account deleted? ...or is this an example of the Mandela Effect? :hmmm:

What the heck, you're right!
We have had some folks ask to be data/ID scrubbed upon exit. Others may use alternate names…we just had someone revert to their MF handle a couple of nights back.(it’s an option, but requires approval)

I have empathy for both Cross and Dogs Of Doom. They've been part of the community all along, and they're dealing with the same crap we are-only now they have VS to deal with. Alex pretty much left them alone to do their jobs (which they have both been outstanding at through the years), and now the new masters have come in and changed how everything is done. I would imagine they're just as frustrated as we are, except they have to put on the happy face and try to play the middle man.

Perhaps invite them to join us...?

When they're done with their day job, they can come hang out with some old friends.
Maybe they need a place to vent.
:coffee2:

It would at least be good for some petty, back-handed, passive aggressive sci-ops.

I know Dogs isn't interested (at the moment) in joining any other forums, but let's give it a few weeks and see how things shake out.

I just went to check a couple of my posts and they're gone. Either that or I just can't find them with the new stupid format.
Brother Steve, I thought I noticed over the past few days that your post count for the month has been going dow. (according to the monthly leaders blurb on the right side of the page). I thought, maybe I was buzzed and blew it off, last night I was pretty sure, so I wrote down the # of posts you had for the month, it was 178, today it was 173.

It's a shame that they do not value member's input. That is what forums are all about is members inputting information. There have been very few posts that I have deleted, usually from posting spam or porn.
