Unfortunately I think the Grover’s are better tuners, IMHO. I prefer them to the vintage green keys.Take them Grovers off and put like the Gibson Deluxe green keys or the Kluson deluxe.

The one pictured is crap. Cheaply plated pot metal that will start to peel as soon as you look at it.I am looking for honest opinions here guys.
I have the chance to pick this up:

It is a B7 type that I can get very cheap. I love the look of the Maestro vibrola but the long tail Bigsby on an SG is a close second. Since the addition of either one is really only for aesthetic purposes as I can’t for the life of me use one, what are your opinions of one versus the other?

I do like the looks of a Maestro vibrola or a Bigsby on an SG. But I'm not much of a mechanical vibrato user. I wouldn't add it just because it looks good. I'm wondering if getting around the Bigsby hardware to access the controls would be an issue... especially if you ain't going to use it. At least the Maestro has a lower profile and the arm should be easy to remove. I have no clue with the Bigsby's. How much of an issue is the neck dive for you?I am looking for honest opinions here guys.
the hell yu sayThere are 17 screws to be aligned on the front of that Bird.
Unicorn FartsWhat’s holding the pups on?
Ok. You sold me Hack! I will bide my time and wait for the right vibra-thingy to show itself before I make any moves! The one pictured is crap. Cheaply plated pot metal that will start to peel as soon as you look at it.
The Bigsby B7 is a fine piece of art in itself. It's highly polished aluminum, not plated.
Plus it can benefit from using a Vibramate mount to keep from molesting the guitar with screw holes.
Don't sell that fine Elite short. A B7 is the ticket.
