There are 17 screws to be aligned on the front of that Bird.

What’s holding the pups on?

The build quality looks to be excellent.
Is this a USA made Epi?
You mentioned the bridge is not Gibson - are the bridge post holes spaced for SAE or import metric?
I think they are different but now I am not sure.

Dang! That looks really frick'n good! It looks warm and very fun at the same time.

Now that you clean up this guitar, how does the finish feel on the body and on the neck?

Polish the frets?
Sysco,

The finish feels good both on the body and neck. You can still feel the grain in the body and neck with your fingers but it sure looks better. Not as nice and smooth as a gloss nitro or poly finish would be.
I cleaned the fretboard with some Lemon Oil and a kitchen sponge that had a scrubby sort of Scotchbrite pad on one side. It get the crap off the fretboard and works the Lemon Oil in at the same time. Then I wipe it down and apply some more Lemon Oil and let it sit to soak in before removing the excess. I have found that using the Scotchbrite on the fretboard actually polishes the frets at the same time.

I didn't have a set of string to install so I have ordered some this morning from my local Music chain and will get them (curb side pickup) on the way home from work. I will get to play her again tonight!

This is a MIJ Epiphone, built at the FujiGen Gakki plant in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. I am almost 100% sure that it has SAE spacing but will have to check when I get home from work. It has an original ABR-1 style bridge where the posts screw directly into the guitar top. It does not use threaded inserts. I know that does mean it is not Import spaced so I will have to check.

EPIPHONE USA???????? are these WOUND in the U.S.?

your kidding right ?

is this N S E W --- from the guitar vertical or horizontal? -- is this eastern or pacific time?

Are you really Albert Einsteins illegitimate love child?
Yes, the pickups were wound in the USA by Gibson for these guitars. I have read conflicting stories that they are either AlNiCo III or AlNiCo V. These 50SR and 60ST pickups get a ton of accolades on the interwebs so I am very excited about getting the strings back on and really putting her through the paces. Well, at least the best paces that I can muster, anyway! :D
The pots were a bit scratchy when I first got it and played it. I will make sure I hit them with some contact cleaner before playing it tonight. I am toying with the idea of ordering a new wiring harness from Jonesyblues. We shall see.

Hackmaster has graciously offered to send me a take off Gibson USA bridge and tailpiece that looks like it will fit. I have compared this bridge and tailpiece with my 2019 LP Standard and the post spacing is the same on both so this has USA spaced parts, if not USA made parts.
Thank you Hackmaster!
