Announcing... RiffMasters!

In general a competition will bring out the best and worst in competitors. For the weak it is easier to cheat. May the strong rise. Otherwise just enjoy the competitions. We do have a number of very strong competitors. We all win from what can learn.

I am learning everyday . I don't feel like I'm in a rut anymore.
All the recent songs are just amazing.
@Thatbastarddon Don, now I see why you are that bastard. Lol
Awesome work.

A Punk bit

Submissions may be covers, adapted covers, originals. Audio only, or audio/video, minimum 1:00 each. Deadline
to make the vote poll is 7PM CST Thursday Jan. 25th.

Put my ear to the tracks, still can't hear no tell of no approaching train as hinted at by ibmorjamn.
Donnie Dagger got something in before deadline, 'Ol Mitchie's still rockin' steady, and we welcome new TTR member and fellow RiffMaster busker Randy Van Malmsteen

Dude this song might squeeze by in time.
It's just to bad it's not 7:00 pm central on Friday. My son is trying to do the vocal for me and that is why I have not posted mine. He is about 100 miles north of me. We have different days off and I work nights (Days sleeping)

@ibmorjamn ... cannot extend the vote on a five week schedule so if it comes to it, you may have to utilize Metal Dogs as your poll vote entry. However, if you can get your train song to the station before the poll vote expires on Saturday night, you will still be eligible the bonus 3 points for getting two Folk'd submissions in before the end off the round.

Poll vote test everyone please for cool things

There are not ten “cool” things on that list…5, maybe 6…like...I don’t see “Red Dawn“ on there…
It’s over John… ;) It will not let me vote for less than 10.

I am aming a little higher but damn it just got tougher.

Hi Dudes,
Here's my rock-to-folk idea: let-me-put-my-love-into-you.mp3
It's in a major key, because love is majorly cool, and AC/DC is loved almost everywhere.
Music like this is so powerful, you'll find yourself taking your time pondering the wide variety of salad dressings at your largest local grocery store.
Are you kidding me right now with the chimes!!!!
Lava Lamps! Kazoos!! CHIMES!!!

Good Morning. Now I gotta clean up sprayed cheerios.

@Randy Van Malmsteem lays his guitar love on the line yet again with a tender folk arrangement of a plaintive acadacca number.

Layered acoustic guitars and a well-placed chime sweep intro a strangely familiar melody that reminds me not of salad dressing but of cutting into a figurative "cake" with my euphamistic "knife" for some reason.

Automatic 3 new points for RVM for his second folk number. LMPMLIY is a glossily-produced music bed piece perfect for your typical slow mo wedding video montage.

Does he even sleep? Is he making fun of folk music here? Who IS this musical mystery machine?

ATTENTION RIFFMASTERS!

If you were a folkin' over-achiever and managed to submit a pair of musical Folk-ups... Today, Tonight YOU MUST DECIDE which one you will enter into tomorrow night's Poll Vote, or by default I will pick your latest entry. This pertains to @Randy Van Malmsteen @LiveeviL2000 @SG John @C-Grin @Mitch Pearrow SJMP and myself so far. Please PM me your poll vote choice before noon tomorrow.

Consider in the event of a tie vote, the member who submitted his entry into this main thread earlier wins. Also, which of your musical selections got a better crowd reaction or will stand out amongst many other choices available? Which one do you feel showcases your bid for general RiffMasteryness?

Because there may be more than ten entries, we may be using an off-site online poll, which will be blind. You will be required to enter your TTR forum handle to vote, keeps things on the level. You will be allowed multiple vote choices. Vote all your picks in one visit, as you cannot go back to add more, or change votes.

There will be a 48 hour polling period. Saturday night we shall award the top three for 10/7/7 pts. Everyone else in the vote (or out), who managed to folk-up at least once will earn 5 valuable participation points.

Yes, there remains the OPTION to opt out being in the poll vote. You'll still walk away with five participatory points. PM me if that is your choice, you will still get to vote on the others. ALL TTR Members get to vote, and I hope you do!

This is gonna be quite exciting!

One other thing...

At the end of round one I offered the option for anyone to OPT OUT of the poll vote and walk away held held high with 5 participatory points. That option is again extended to any who wish to take it. I'll need to know that decision also before noon tomorrow.
