Mr Grumpy
Ambassador of Comings and Goings
Just put her away after 12 hours of looking, playing, checking, looking, playing, listening to music, looking & playing some more.
Been trying this (well, the first couple of bars...), can get an easy version of some of the fun parts. Such a great start to a song to play with this new guitar.
I was lazy to put new strings on, so I oiled up the fretboard with the strings on then went for a shower. The oil was gone when I got back, so she'll have some more when I change the strings in a week or so (waana get some Ernie Ball 9-46).
Thank you. I wasn't sure at first if she was a B-stock, if the grain was supposed to look like this - but, I'm increasingly liking it; everywhere you look the grain, spots and marks show character.
As you have said, Sir, you don't need much more than one of these (although I'd quite like a 61' reissue with buckers now, and maybe a 3 buckerooed Custom with the fancy headstock.)
I don't dislike it, certainly makes the guitar unique, but it doesn't blow me away.

The neck is dry - some F-ONE oil will be forthcoming.

She is definitely a beauty Mr Grumpy! The mahogany grain is fantastic looking.

WOW----simply ---WOW--- floored it is gorgeous beyond gorgeous--- a light fast simple basic rapier of a guitar---what more could you need?

I think the cool headstock script is the icing on the cake.
