Yes!! I knew I heard it before... about 35 years ago... a friend of mine used to play that record a lot.
five hours into the voting @jtcnj has taken a commanding lead that may be difficult for @Ku² to whittle down: 8 votes to 3
I'm a little surprised, but possibly familiarity in the song choice may be the difference. But wait!! There's controversy too! Oh MY!
After voting, Brother @Sapient revealed he thought jtcnj's guitar play-along cover was a full on new recording! omg! OMG!! @Thatbastarddon commented the playing was on and the mix was a fooler too

How would jtcnj go about recruiting Joey Ramone to sing on his RiffMasters submission?
Salient marvelled how perfectly he mimicked Joey LOL Crazy stuff!
Jtcnj posted a bit sheepishly he thought it what he did would be apparent to all listeners just his own guitar played over, panned to one side . Oh the drama!
Does Sapient want a re-vote? Is jtcnj now hiring himself out as a mastering engineer? Will he shark away all Sapients clients?

Mixed well enough. Perhaps if your vocal track was pushed up a bit, so the casual listener could discern the lyrical content, you wouldn’t have submitted your next reply…

Weird. I did my Dr Love cover on there but had it set to private?
Once it “tagged” him, it watches for more. You avoided being tagged somehow…it is weird though. His entry was mixed very much like yours…the guitar tracks both sound like they belong there.

How does this whole Duel thing work anyway? You just randomly pick ppl and pit them against one another? Or was I actually challenged?

Dunno….I didn’t come up with this game…just playing along. There is some logic to it though…IIRC.
It’s not over yet…there were 15-16 voters last time…you could come back to tie, and the tie goes to the first submission.

I have asked our Friend mr. @Ku² to re-evaluate his ego a little bit via PM
This game is meant to be supportive, and there is a wide mix of talent and skill levels
involved. You can't be a guitar player without some sort of ego.
On the flip side, lets try to be welcoming to a newish member, and not be home crowd types.
I can't tell you how to vote, but bear in mind we should be judging the work, not the worker

LOL, I guess, because no one knows me, you don't know my sense of humor. I though though, by my submission, that you guys would pick up on that. No ego, no ego. Just messin' with you. Oh, btw, I would say, judging by how self deprecating we all seem to be, we might all be the least ego-driven guitarists on the planet.
