ESP/LTD is excellent as well. My LTD absolutely leaves a lot of guitars in the dust. Shecter and ESP are owned by the same company BTW.

I'vevhad really bad luck with one Gibson SG, that wadn't good. The Standard I have now sounds and plays good but has a cosmetic issue (beyond noticing them, I don't care) that is stranger for an instrument in that price range.

As a matter of fact, I have no emotional investment with any brand. I got over all that crap a long time ago. I judge every guitar on it's own merits, which is really what this thread is all about... I think.
