NPAD - Kemper

Now that I listen again...it’s 2D for me between the two. This is my favorite profile I’ve heard so far....the Mesa Mark V.

Again, I like both.
1D=Kemper+amp
2D=Kemper
Similar to the last I commented on...1D is fluffy and warm, while 2D is a bit more 3D :wink: , crisp, and clear. I think, in this case, my preference is for the 2D. Although it would depend upon the application.
You got it again!

Clearly, it cannot be said that the power section does not color the tone when using a Kemper, but the results are good across the board. I might add that all this sounds different than the monitor speakers in person, and I am sure the Kemper power section would impart a tone too. I think Kemper owners with FRFR setups who beleive thay are all hearing the same thing are mistaken

Messa, clean, why??? Ok, ok, I know Messas have nice cleans.

1 sounded ok, quite immediate, lacked musicality, lots of discrete notes overlaid upon each other. Less dynamic range.

2 sounded better musically, the notes had more in themselves and when connected to other notes. I'd up the volume a bit to allow the more dynamic elements to bloom. 2 is better.

I'm sure that's the case because there's something missing in all the Soundcloud clips - as you say, in the room, the sound is no doubt much more alive in a way that's not coming across (to my ears at least) in the clips.

I'd also probably agree with Thatbastarddon that 2D is my favourite thusfar (although, it still lacks a bit of dynamic movement in the Soundcloud clip).

In the last set, 1E is the Kemper and 2E is the Marshall. I flipped it that time, but for the the rest, 2 was always the Kemper

This direct recording, so not much going on in the room.

It is unusual to hear this stuff with a dry guitar. Here is how the Mesa profile Chris just gave me sounds as presented

You are wallowing in pools of modulation and sound fluctuations there, RVA... :dood:

It's certainly nice to have so many sounds at your fingertips. The Kemper is quite an amazing bit of kit.
Indeed! I am happy for him! There seem to be some useful sounds to be had...this has been his first outing with the Kemper. I’m sure that he will have a good bit of fun with it.

Each effect within a profile can be adjusted as if it were a physical pedal, and pedals can be subtracted or added, so that each profile is a myriad of possibilities in itself.
