NPAD - Kemper

OK this time it's much harder to choose. They both sound very similar, but track 2 seems to have more "loudness". I'll take track 2

I'm kinda with the others, I liked elements of both this time.

1 sounded a tad muffled and held back, but had some nice qualities in the mids, had movement of notes, but needed them foregrounded somehow; there was a warmth and quality to the tune, but it sat too far back in the soundstage. Thus, I preferred number 1, but there's more to come if the musical qualities that live between descrete notes were allowed to bloom.

2 didn't have the warmer qualities of the first, but it had a bit more dynamic push although it was a tad one-dimensional for me.

Damn, you could arc weld with that thing !

I wanted a bigger one, but money was an issue at the time and I didn't want to wait...I think it was wise
to get the one I have because I can't turn it up past 3 or so in the house...well I can, but my ears can't take it!

It would be great for a block party!

A question to further clarify my understanding of methodology...
Is the Kemper output plugged in to the effects return of the amps in play?

For the Kemper track: Kemper output goes directly to the Soundcraft out of the Main Outputs of the Kemper. It is plugged into channels 7/8, a stereo channel, but for purposes of recording, I only used Analog Input 7 in Reaper for the Kemper track.

For the amp tracks: The power sections use the monitor out of the Kemper, routed to a patch panned that leads to the return plug of the amp, and then the amp is routed to the Soundcraft by various DI methods (each amp with a dedicated channel)

I like both of those equally. I can't discern a big difference...

Is that the attached profile?
No it was a profile by r.u.sirius. I did not have that profile (not sure why since you gave me your stuff). Thank you for the new profile

Again, I like both.
1D=Kemper+amp
2D=Kemper
Similar to the last I commented on...1D is fluffy and warm, while 2D is a bit more 3D :wink: , crisp, and clear. I think, in this case, my preference is for the 2D. Although it would depend upon the application.
