NPAD - Kemper

Im confused.....................
Are you TAKING the tone --- from the Peavey VK -- you own...........and essentially recording it in the Kempers memory-- so the Kemper can .........."mimic" that tone-- with that speaker configuration? --- is that how the kemper works?
Its a digital Cockatoo -- mimicking the amps it hears and replaying them (essentially + a bunch of computer "stuff") ?
ANd the "profiles" created (by you or others copying the tone of various amps) can then be shared?

Making the possability endless ---as old and new amps POP UP -- everyday

SO............................you can "profile" say the Lil Sexy amp Drumoid built? Or the Freshman amp he just REBUILT -- and then comp the real verses the profile....and ADD every effect known to man.....without messing with pedal boards wires, batteries blah blah blah -- to either amp "profile" ??????

SO @RVA if this is all true --- it begs the question....................................................when are you sending me the Peavey VK since you dont need it anymore ????????

Yes I know I could have asked 2 paragraphs ago-- but wheres the fun in that??

You got it.

- You set a tone on your amp that works for you
-the kemper goes into the amp input so it can send a series of whacky computer-like tests sounds that determine the tonal characteristics of the amp, including head room, break up pattern, etc
- you plug a mic into the kemper (or multiple mics into a board and then the board to the kemper if you want to complicate things like me)
- Your guitar goes into the front of the kemper
- you tell the kemper if it is a dirty or clean profile, and then hit start
- it captures the exact tone of the amp you previously set - a snapshot of those settings, so to speak
- the kemper allows you to compare the profile with the original - if it does not match exactly, you may then play your guitar so that it can get additional info on the amp tone (called refining the profile)
- store the profile with a name and you are done! Excluding hardward setup, the process takes 5 minutes

As for sending you the Peavey, you will note that it was not on my sale list! That and the Phaez will stay with me for a while
