The LP Supreme has no rear access panel. The controls aren't mounted on a pickguard or plate like Strats & Teles either. You have to feed everything in through the bridge pickup cavity; it's supposed to be a major pain in the ass. But the back is beautiful - flame maple, pristine and unsullied.

I've got a 60th Anniversary Strat

Soundwise it's a gift from heaven. It's also beautiful to look at. Not among my most playable guitars though. That's the only thing I don't really love about real Strats. I've got really lazy hands... They love Ibanez necks and all that sort of thing.

I do think ya kinda have to have a Strat. I don't pull mine out often (a G&L Legacy) but when I need "that" sound nothing else will do.

Speaking of slim necks, the new Ultra Series Strats and Teles look very promising. They also have some extra body contouring and several other tweaks and upgrades. I'm currently considering one of the Ultra Strats....

I never tire of seeing that combination. That era Vibrolux or the '63 Vibroverb are, IMO, the best sounding amps ever made by Fender. Damn nice Strat too. Cheers

I guess its all about the neck for me...I like Strats and everything about them, just never could bond with the necks.....Maybe one day I will run across one that has the slim neck I desire, than I can finally have one.

But I sure do like to hear one being played...

You need to try one of these Trident.

SG first buddy, then the strat, I like the wider neck strats, my MIM
Strat is 1-5/8” that is as small as my stubby fingers can play.

I really like that. It reminds me of David Gilmour's #0001 Strat. I've always wanted one of those Mary Kaye type Strats.
