I've disliked strats for decades, so...

The thing about Stratocaster type Godin guitars, is they separate the pack from Fender and some others , the fact is that Godin continues to make advancements on their guitars, their guitars in my opinion are a step above Fender and Gibson. Fender and Gibson have rested on the laurels over the years. One thing to remember Godin at one time made necks for Fender and Kramer guitars, until they started making guitars themselves. Not knocking Fender and Gibson to each their own. I have tried many Fender Strats, Tele's and have tried many Gibsons. I have not yet from these two companies found a guitar that played as well was built better than a Godin and came in at a lower price than Godin. Godin has a guitar for every player whether you like slim necks, thick necks they have them. And when you buy their guitars they all come with high end hardware including pups. Get out there and try one out then compare dollar for dollar which is better choice.DSC00062.JPG

Everything you say there I would also say about G&L, at least when it comes to bolt-neck guitars.

i know man..just rediscovered shredders.... played a Charvel the other day..was blown away...and also..how good it did reg tones.

I haven't owned a shredder since, well, the '80's! It was a LA-made B.C. Rich STIII, their ultimate SuperStrat at the time. Helluva nicely made guitar but I never got used to the paper-thin neck. I only had it because I needed it to pull off a lot of the contemporary songs that used a lot of wang-bar. My main guitar was a '77 LPC.
