Your go to amp

When I don't use my bigger rigs, I use this, Vox AC-30.

AC-30's are very deceiving amps, mine will keep up pretty steady with a Marshall 1987 50 watter.

I love my DST30. Especially after installing the Goodmans Audiom 60 speakers that Java made my buy on ebay. That amp will slay most JTM45 or 50 watt JMP amps. It has that killer Rory Gallagher or Hank Marvin tones, even if I don't have their tanent. It still sounds insane.

It's the white one, under the Flying V that I made.

I want that amp... :yesway:

I have personally never played this amp!

And neither one of us ever will! A rare amp indeed. Sadly, DST is no more...

Yeah, unfortunately Bob retired. I love all the DST amps that I have. They sound incredible. That Solera was a prototype that Bob never got around to finishing. I was at the right place at the right time when he finally did finish it. No matter what speaker cabinet I plug it into, it sounds great. Weather it's a Fane loaded Hiwatt, or 55 Hz Greenbacks, 75 Hz Greenbacks, 75 Hz Blackbacks, or 75 watt Silver Jubilee, it doesn't matter. There are no bad sounds coming out of this amp.

A lesson I have finally learned this week.

Amps record different than they sound in the room, your one watt amp sounds huge on a track.

I have a beautiful JTM 45, anyone that plays it loves it's tones. Can't get an above average tone with it- for right now. But my Origin 20H sounds great thru the DAW. It doesn't matter what you do to the knobs, it sounds killer?

I love my JTM45. I usually use it with a 1970 8x10 cabinet. I've been told that this was also Jim Marshall's favorite combination.

At the moment at home i run The JTM-1 Offset almost every day.

The bigger amps are also used a lot, but att the moment JTM1 into Vox V212C with Greenbacks is my main amp.

Tce63 Welcome to the forum, You have some very nice equipment !! I notice you have some lovely guitars there!! Over in Sweden you will have to check out the fine collection of Godin guitars at your local shop. Here's one of their Sizzlers.

Thanks.

Many stores in Sweden sell Godin, but there are almost never any in stock.

But I will try one out when i find one.

Don't even try. Just EQ to what you hear through the cans or you will drive yourself crazy.

If I was able to capture the sound I hear in the room I would be getting paid big money as a recording engineer right now.

And I agree with you on the ID Core - they are all but useless as amplifiers but they make a pretty great recording interface.
