The Muse I Adorn

Ok, its Saturday morning here so I'll be adorning this all morningView attachment 16515 View attachment 16516 & then take it out to adorn it at volume this afternoon. I gotta agree with gball & eSGEe, there really is something special about Norlin's. Note no strap locks, now that's a first for me. Grolsch washers & lots of spares. I changed the wiring to 50's & had an 0.022uf & 0.015uf K40Y-9 that metered correctly so threw them in. Cheers
That is sweet! What year?

I played the Silkyn then the Orange through the Silkyn speaker.
Liking the Orange a lot, especially the higher gain with the Pacifica / SD Custom bridge pickup.

I never really had the gain on the Silkyn dirty channel up around 6-7 much before. Sounding really good as well.
It is a bit fizzy at light overdrive / crunch.
the clean channel is wonderful and takes OD pedals very well.

That is a lot of tonal ground right there!

Played the AXL through the Silkyn for a bit - I am swapping the Agile A5 HB pick up - which I like but, want to try this
GuitarMadness 57 special - said to be similar to 57 Classic.

G.M. 57 Special Alnico II Zebra Humbucker Bridge (4-wire)for Gibson Epiphone® 803173489951 | eBay

Been wanting to return to learning / smoothing out Cinnamon Girl; the SG Jr has a GFS Mean 90 that is pretty good.
Have not really dialed in the tone on the fugly green home brew tweed Champ / Princeton (5F1 / 5f2a tone control), but I'll get there.

The Champ...
Maybe I name her Rosie.
She aint exactly pretty..
Aint exactly small...
Whole Lotta Rosie.

I keep the SG Jr. in double drop D or open G.
I tune the lo E and A strings to standard sometimes - plenty riffage I can play that doesnt use the hi e.
I leave the high e tuned to D because I break them going back and forth.

This girl is getting a workout every day now and I'm starting to feel comfortable with her. When first purchased I wasn't ready to get around a largish guitar requiring more pressure on strings. I must be advancing be it ever so slowly, yeah!

I feel like I asked this before, but what Taylor model is this?

It's a 616ce, my wife has a 618e but I found the 8 series too big for my comfort.

EDIT, rather than "comfort" I should have used the word "confidence". I'm becoming slightly more confident of late, soon I'll be brave enough to give my White Falcon another try, that's a big bit of kit.
