Opportunity to play a bit loud, and I am going back and trying to really learn my amps.
Wound up the Tweed Champ/Princeton clone build with P90's and no pedals.

Guitar is a Blake Wright Guitars one off run. Small builder contracts China factory with specs.
Set neck, useable hardware and electronics, crap tuners and nut (upgraded to Wilkinson green keys and Tusq XL nut).
Stock pickups had ceramic magnets but are now A5 Neck and A2 Bridge.
This was supposed to be a Gibson double cut copy but looks to be from a PRS template, @ 25" scale.
$230 guitar with shipping + just under $50. in upgrades = keeper and real nice player for short dough.

I guess it is time to peel off the plastic on the pick guard.

This sounds glorious and riding the guitar vol gives some pretty versatile range of cleanish through balls out Mississippi Queen.
All tube, no drive pedals; a little reverb.
I may have found the foundation for "my" tone.
