That sucks man. I was furloughed for 8 months when Covid lockdowns hit and it took 3 of those months to get my unemployment checks coming. At the time the hotline didn’t even have hold. You called, went through all the prompts and you either got through or they hung up. Worst time of my life

Everyhing leads you back to the online format now. The only thing the local offices do is refer you back to the online format. I have been tryng to call the local umemployment worksource center as it is called now and just keep getting disconected.

I hope you get it sorted out. Even with our issues of filing online here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else when getting laid off. Benefits here are double of any New England state, and they make sure you get signed up to Cobra or Mass Health right away. It's all stuff that is paid for in advance, so I never understand why states make things so difficult.

This sort of thing is totally unacceptable. I won't venture into legalize stuff, except to say that you paid for unemployment insurance with every paycheck. That's a contract.
This so totally sucks.

I finally was able to log into the unemployment sytem. I have been working part time so now to see what will come of that. But from April 5 until Agust 28th to get it straightened out.
