Well boys and girls...

Well I've had enough breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks and errything else in bed....time to "bathe" in bed. Got my toothbrush and toothpaste, some roll on anti perspirant, and some "bathing" cloth which are just fancy wet wipes.
Nothing like a real shower (I miss the real shower) but better than lying in my own stank.

Lol the only thing missing is my mobility and a pair of Bob Barker sandals lol
....feels like maybe I've been here before...hmmm:hmmm:

OH Blinkie, now you are really bring back flashbacks of my hospital trip. I will say there was NO bathe myself in cleaning products involved. To counter my awful pain meds experiences, I had the best best best feeling ever. The NICE nurse who really did the best job at making my awful experience bearable gave me sponge baths. I'll wish for the best for you. Good luck on the surgery.

Did the nurses that gave you the sponge bath look anything like these beauties?

I'm not anti-tele per se, I just don't have any. I have any of these currently at my disposal, though:

You know and really, I don't seem to have a lot of trouble sitting with a V either, sobthe question will be: can my busted leg tolerate it? An Explorer shape a lot of people find more comfortable to sit with than a V, but I don't think that's true for me. In fact, I have not sat down to play in such a long time that no matter which one I choose, I suspect they'll all feel very odd. Not only will I be sitting, but I'll be crippled to boot.

My bets will be on the V, the Exp shape, or that white Dinky.
I sit with the V all the time but not with a broken leg. No acoustic ?
I just saw the new Dave Mustaine song writer Gibson.

Here is what my mom sent all my family members after the surgery was done but before I was able to think or understand anything:

They found Michael has strong bone and the surgery went just as well as could be. Didn't have to go backwards at any point, which seemed like a pleasant surprise. There are two incisions. One on each side of the knee. Not front and back. They installed 3 plates and screws and didn't need a bone graft at all. The meniscus was torn on the inside of the knee so they repaired that and said his meniscus was thinned on the outer part of the knee because of the pressure as the injury happened. They slit the fascia on the left side of his shin bone to allow for swelling. He will always have a bump running up and down on his muscle to the left of his shin. There was only one ligament that needed repair - the medial collateral ligament (or something like that) and sometimes they don't even bother to reattach it. She did though. He has two days with NO movement of his knee and he MUST move it after that. She tested his knee and he had full range of motion immediately after surgery. His knee will always feel "different" and he may acquire arthritis but she usually doesn't see knee replacements after the 20 years she has been doing this very surgery. They said he would have a 5-7 hour surgery but it was 3 1/2 hours. I'm so thankful for this hospital and the entire staff has been so amazing.

Quick shot of the bruising while I change the ice packs out for fresh ones
Blinkie, When I was learning to jump my KX250 at my 2nd MX race, this one was at a track near me called Happy Ramblers. My left knee was bruised and looked like that after a few wrecks. I did not mess up the insides bad enough for surgery.. However, OMG did it begin to itch internally as it healed up in the next few weeks.

She is right though, this hospital's staff has been top notch, and as a level 1 trauma center, I am so entirely grateful that I came here instead of anywhere else in the entire world.

They wouldn't let me keep the pins from the previous apparatus as souvenirs though, so I was a little bit bummed about that, but oh well.

That gear you had looked like steering off a car ! Glad you got through the surgery !

Blinkie, When I went back for my therapy in the Physician's Pavillion Offices wing of the hospital, I made it a point to hobble over to my former rooming area in the main hospital where I spent 4 days post surgery to thank the nice nurse personally for exactly what you said. I wanted to make sure she knew that her demeanor, her " nursing" was perfect to make unbearable situations more bearable and pleasant.
