tone knob schmone knob...its pink -- and its fabulous

I was thinking of adding polka dots if it had body damage etc. --- nope its damn near MINTY -- 1 little micro divot in the lower horn (need baked salmon fingernail polish) and it will be right as rain ---
love the matching headstock paint (not always a PEAVEY thing) -- loverly just loverly-- and as you would guess
it looks all pink and mellow --- but it SHREDS like a beast --- NOT hitting a pinch harmonic is a chore -- it LOVES to squeal

In 1980, i was 15...playing in the house bsnd at the Hoot-N-Holler Saloon in Terra Bella, California for $120.00 a week...
Not too bad for 1980 money!

Oh, was I ever coo back then lol, poodle perm, parachute pants, super strat and Marshall 1987, NOT a re-issue, Flyin V.

And don't forget my badazz Members Only jacket!

I'd loved that guitar.

Dude, that was some serious scratch for a 15-year-old at the time! I didn't get into my first "real" band until 1982, and at that time we practically had to beg to play places for free. I didn't get paid for a gig until about 1984/85.

We had to rent a p.a. back then, we ended up in the red lol.
We paid to play.

Good point. In my high school band we had to rent a PA whenever we were at a place that didn't have one, so technically we were paying to play too! In our practice space we ran the vocals through a bass head attached to a guitar cabinet. Sounded horrendous but got the job done. It was so nice when I got a little older and started playing with a singer that had their own PA!

We finally rented the same p.a. so many times the local store owner let us take the two columns, amp head mic.'s and stands to our rehearsal space and let us make payments.

He was a great person for local music, really supported the local .

Eventually he let us go the same way for guitars as well, always interest free.

That bar was the centerpiece of a farming community, so it was the only game around!!!

My Mom put in a good word for me...it wasn't all me...
