tone knob schmone knob...its pink -- and its fabulous

...its got all the "zing:" of them fancy new Charvels -- but unlike them -- this is the THING they are copying!

It is a really cool guitar. I used to get a Peavey catalog of sorts and I remember those!

I always liked the Vandenberg, as well. I’d probably get one if I ran across one for the right price.

But, as for the copying thing...Peavey is the copycat here. Charvel, Jackson, and Kramer had well-established themselves as the Super Strat trifecta by the time Peavey released the Nitro.

Naw...seriously...I could add one.

I’ve done it before!
thanks but ----
Im good the amps all have one its set at 12 o clock and hasnt moved in months---- hell the knobs on the Hartke bass amp havent moved in YEARS ---I tend to find a tone I like and not dick with it . ;)

the KAHLER usa 2520 trem is quiet substantial -- very well made product-- interesting double locking unit on the headstock --- roller saddles-- heavy -- well made kit ---

thanks but ----

Okay...how about a coil-split switch?

You know you want one!

SO the true KAHLER aficionados in the group MIGHT have noticed the absence of the FINE TUNERS in the first pic ----

Thanks to @Hackmaster and his "connections" -- at WHAMMY PARTS (.com) a few days and 40.00 later I had me some fine tuners---
the P.O. wasnt LOCKING the nut so-- he wasnt using the finesse of the fine american crafted tuning system ----o.k. Im being a bit corksniffery --
HOWEVER--------
(grab a beer going long here)
this foogin trem system is OVER engineered---check this out -- I mean 1 its a HUNK of metal---each saddle has 2 (yep 2) rollers is adjustable up down and back and forth
-- the fine tuners are truly FINE tuners -- the SLIGHTEST tweak nets tuning stability

As stated prviously ---this is a one trick pony-- period -- but it does that one (80's heavy metal hair band tone) to a "T" the 1 knob has the rubber gripper ring and Im sorry but EVERY KNOB should have that or some soft rubber coating or something -- also its CLOSE enough to do swells and Beck style crying crap---but -- ITS NOT IN THE DAMN WAY and crowding my right paw.....
Kudos Peavey---------- kudos

When you need an engineer's degree just to set up your guitar!

That was always my irk with Fender strats, the volume knob is just way too close.

I am also fidning (after 2 string changes in a Week (I KNOW RIGHT ?!?!?!)--- the locking nut system which clamps the string in between the TOP cross bar and the "nut" from the bottom up---- doesnt wank the guitar out of tune when you "lock" it -- both times 4 strings were still dead on after being "locked" (usually I have to fine tune all of them on a floyd after locking the nut) and only 2 needed a "tweak"

the BEHIND the nut locking nut -- is rather cool --- I took the whole enchilada apart first night I had it ---
p.o. was just running it like a standard "strat" ish nut -- no lock

there is a regular "nut" and the lock occurs after it
