The Muse I Adorn

Ah ha...I found some pictures of my guitar on Google. It's my 1989 Yamaha RGX Custom guitar with a neck through the body that I got brand new back then. It's one of my all time favourite guitars and I had it almost 30 years now. It has an ebony fret board and crystal inlays on the FB. The RGX Standard is the bolt on neck version with an H-S-S configuration and also an ebony FB. This guitar of mine is a killer guitar and I paid just over $2,000 brand new not including the hard-shell case.

Very nice! Is that your actual guitar or Google images that are similar?

It's actually my guitar and all the photos are mine...screw PhotoPhucket!:D Here's another one that's not mine but in the other colour option. I actually met the guy who owns this purple one on another forum...I recognize the pics. I think these guitars are very rare these days to find online for sale.

The 24 frets are sure a bonus. I think they are Jim Dunlop jumbo frets...6100 I believe. It also has a pull/push tone knob to split the coils on the humbuckers and a direct out switch that bypasses the other controls right the the bridge pickup in humbucker mode at full blast.

My Schecter had 24 frets. My Double Neck has only 20. I was sure I would miss the extra frets, or, at the very least, feel handicapped by their absence, but i haven't noticed it...

I really like your Schecter guitar...sort of reminds me of my Yamaha with the arched top. The neck scale is Fender size as opposed to your guitar which has a Gibson scale so bending the strings is just a tad more tighter. I don't mind the 20 frets on your double-neck...it's adequate enough for lead playing. The best thing about your guitar are the ebony FB's...looks real grogeous and I bet you have a lot of fun playing that two-headed beast. That's what counts.

My PRS 408 is my ride tonight. It has an ecclectic sound and feel, like many PRS. The mini toggles split the coils, but in this case, when one coil goes off, more windings are activated on the live coil to reduce volume drop. It is pretty cool!

This guitar looks like pure perfection. That wraparound bridge is like a work of art! I hope you get nasty with it... :dood:

Yeah, I remember pricing out those PRS bridges on eBay or Reverb. Lots of dinero. I don't know if the they would seamlessly retrofit on my Gibson PT SG.

I prefer wraparounds and the PRS are my favorite of the wraparounds. They are comfortable, low profile and intonate well. However, everything PRS is a bit overpriced.

I may have posted this in this thread before (and definitely on this forum), but who cares! The muse I adorn tonight is a beauty. Meet Aurora. She is a 24 fret, trem loaded PRS with a piezo pickup under the bridge and stereo outputs. She is similar to her sister Phoenix, except 2 less frets, a trem instead of a stoptail and different pups. The only mod is getting rid of Paul's standard cream pup rings for some gold metal pup rings. She has a Brazilian Rosewood FB which is loaded with mineral streats, and I think gorgeous in its own right. This PRS is wonderful player too.

Whoa, I’m in love. Do you have it insured? I could steal it from ya and you could go find something new. Nice PRS !

And you already have it strap locked for me. :D
