Can you describe how loud it is at this setting? The JTM45 sounds great with the inputs jumpered. Both volumes a little over four. Mids are maxed...

Since it makes a huge difference, where was the sensor and the size of the room?My 50 watt Origin and 2x12 cabinet at '7' on the volume knob has been measured (just for testing) at 115db...
Yes at 1 meter I assume?Since it makes a huge difference, where was the sensor and the size of the room?

ANd I am AMAZED --- (happily) AMAZED every time I play this "squire" beginner low end guitar" ) at the tones that can come from it .... the MANY and varied tones are simply amazing

Thanks. Also, at those same volume settings that you posted, is the amp breaking up yet with single coils or humbuckers? When playing hard, loud enough to vibrate the house but not knock anything off the walls.
It's not loud enough to get the legs of my jeans to flap in the breeze from the speakers, but it's fun. Roll off the volume on the guitar and play lightly, it gets pretty quiet. They respond nicely with each other.

pure porn
And of legal age :dood:pure porn

Breaks up with both. The Strat sounds a bit cleaner, and like a Strat. It's a nice natural distortion that's going on. I can get it to be both smooth and punchy with pick attack. The V is a bit raunchier, and more typical of a PAF. Both are damn good fun.
I too am not into speaker break-up. But I was trying to get a "feel" for how a JTM45-style amp delivers the goods. No directed to me, but I want to address this because it is a question I am asked often.
I do not - ever - want a speaker or an amp to 'break up.' I want to be able to push near full volume without any speaker distortion. This is NOT easy with bass and resonance full up. Few speakers could handle it at these volume levels.
This is the true beauty of my amp/rig....
The Jensen 80 watt Stealth and the WGS 50 watt Reaper 55 Hz can really take a pounding...
