over and over and over again
truly here I must report --- in case (AS A PSA) if anyone is on the "fence" about a single pup guitar ........this is my 4th (currently but there have been others) and of course MANY single pup basses.
ANd I am AMAZED --- (happily) AMAZED every time I play this "squire" beginner low end guitar" ) at the tones that can come from it .... the MANY and varied tones are simply amazing

I have a Epiphone husk that was gifted to me by our very own Chris , it’s a bolt on neck , metal flake green, that I shall put together as a single pick up one volume knob, punk rock thrasher, and then pass it on to my grandson, right now his favorite instrument is the Agile that was also gifted to me by Chris.
Pics to follow the completion.
Cheers

I have not played, been a long long week.
:(
but I am going to get a big weekend next week, fingers don’t let me down !!
But I am about to grill a beer can chicken ....
Cheers
Me either, had my daughter over this weekend so havnt played in 2 days. I did purchase the Nita Strauss online lessons, so I’m hoping to hit that hard and heavy this week.

Holidays are coming:blink: What do you mean I'm on permanent Holiday...:celebrate:
That must be a great way to be.
My permanent holiday will be when I am gone , I have to keep giving it my all till then, because of the things I did as a young man !!
Because I was not paying attention to the later years in life, working under the table and trying to get the best for my family, was not the clear choice.
Cheers

I really like my Sg Jr.

So much, I've had it for over 42 years.

Can you describe how loud it is at this setting?

When playing hard, loud enough to vibrate the house but not knock anything off the walls.

It's not loud enough to get the legs of my jeans to flap in the breeze from the speakers, but it's fun. Roll off the volume on the guitar and play lightly, it gets pretty quiet. They respond nicely with each other.

Thanks. Also, at those same volume settings that you posted, is the amp breaking up yet with single coils or humbuckers?

Breaks up with both. The Strat sounds a bit cleaner, and like a Strat. It's a nice natural distortion that's going on. I can get it to be both smooth and punchy with pick attack. The V is a bit raunchier, and more typical of a PAF. Both are damn good fun.

No directed to me, but I want to address this because it is a question I am asked often.

I do not - ever - want a speaker or an amp to 'break up.' I want to be able to push near full volume without any speaker distortion. This is NOT easy with bass and resonance full up. Few speakers could handle it at these volume levels.

This is the true beauty of my amp/rig....

The Jensen 80 watt Stealth and the WGS 50 watt Reaper 55 Hz can really take a pounding...

I too am not into speaker break-up. But I was trying to get a "feel" for how a JTM45-style amp delivers the goods.
