I found a sleeper (that I regret slacking on) at The Guitar Doctor in Whitman, a couple of years back...a Guild....it played like silk...had a neck/headstock repair done(by the owner of the shop)...I hesitated, and it was gone on my next visit...

Thanks Johnny! It was in bad shape when I bought it. The electronics were all messed up and disconnected. One pickup was dead and the pickguard was cracked down the middle. The bridge saddles were caked with dirt and gunk. It looked like it was in someone's garage for 15 years. I bought it for $20, took it apart, cleaned it up and put it back together with some new parts. The neck is very nice and and body very resonant. Now it's about equal to my MIM Fender Strat in playability and quality.jjudas i love that Strat.
Ive been on a 1 pup "thing" lately
SG-1 All American tonight -- with some Les Paul Jr sprinkled in
