Kinda liberating? I’ve been beating up my Mexi-Martin often lately. Your Martin looks amazing!

Thanks. Yeah, it is liberating. I‘ve never had a nice acoustic, and picked it up yesterday at Retro Music in Keene, NH while I was doing a combination of killing time and goofing off.

I went there basically to say hi to the owner, and get strings and picks. Then, I started looking to see if he had any cool old lap steels, or something interesting. I asked if they had any “sleeper“ acoustics that played and sounded great, but were easy on the wallet.

So, he handed me that one. A mid nineties D-16T. Since the owner wasn’t there, the same guy who worked there part time the thirty years I’ve going there called Jeff and asked if there was a long term customer discount on the guitar, and there was. Still cleaning it up, when I’m not playing it.

I’m happy to finally have a nice acoustic. I have found nothing but praises by people regarding this model while looking it up online.

Cool story. Congrats!!

Now that I think about it, a lot of your guitars have cools stories attached to them!

I found a sleeper (that I regret slacking on) at The Guitar Doctor in Whitman, a couple of years back...a Guild....it played like silk...had a neck/headstock repair done(by the owner of the shop)...I hesitated, and it was gone on my next visit...

I had a number of guitars/basses, cars, etc I wanted that that happened to me on too.
At least you have that cool V and SG, Bdon

And man, way back in the 90's my local mom and pop shop used to be a Guild dealer. I could have picked almost all types of Guilds they made back then. he is also a Martin dealer. But Martins are too pricey for me.
