Black ebony, for $500 in 1979!Nice dark FB!
Yeah, I’m still working on getting those staccato notes right up on the 19th fret in the opening lick. That must be the problem; I need one of those!
No, in actuality its all on me.
I really like Leslies phrasing and the basic turn around licks he used often.
Silver Paper.
and that scorching vibrato.
I know, old school boring pentatonic blues, but hey, I dig it.
I decided to do a little work on "The Guitar With No Name" last night.
Notice the fret ends and fingerboard edges. Ignore the dirt and grime.

It makes a definite difference in the feel. Much nicer and more comfortable. I do this to all my guitars once I decide they are keepers.Looks good. Nice job.
Getting it nice and smooth like an Ibanez prestige.... smart!!

I actually did it a few years ago, but since I decided this is basically my number one now, I put the finishing touches on the fret ends last night.
I also ordered some new tuners. They should be here tomorrow.
I have a full set of needle files. Best thing I ever bought for working on guitars. That's awesome. There's nothing like the feeling of smooth frets. I have a few guitars that are so smooth you wouldn't know it had frets. And then I pick up one that's rough..... what a difference.
How many different size files do you use for something like that? I have a epiphone LP I use as a guinea pig. It has fairly rough ends. Be fun to practice some smoothing skills.

So has this taken the number one slot from the Maybach?
