I got a DCPA4R. VERY loud guitar! It feels right to me, and I had a use for it, so I had to.....:) I actually ended up with the rosewood model due to a fluke mistake, but it ended up being for the better. Totally different sound than a spruce/mahogany guitar for sure! Check em out!

The maple fingerboard on my shop made tele is just waxed and buffed. True Eastern hard rock maple.

I liked this post because it made me spurt beer from my nose and almost choke while LOL.
Then I figured I'm also "nutz" because I also have no idea. :oops:




BTW, not a good move to call an administrator "nutz" without a smilie. Some places send members to the naughty corner for that. :)

I googled and saw this, Quote ...

"Phenolic is not stable. It warps when heat is applied to one side of the fingerboard. And when the fingerboard cools down, it stays warped; it has no memory. I prefer the look of maple but in the end it's all about the playability of the neck and my fingers can't really feel much of a difference. If you do feel a difference I'd suggest you are pressing too hard :)

That is probably why I favor Rosewood first, and Ebony second. I have always been heavy-handed... :oops:
