Still no snow here

The situation in Portland is that the ground was saturated from non stop rain then windy conditions that knocked down tees that fell on power lines. 160k people without power and it’s 14 degrees.
I called off to avoid Portland. It was about 17 here. Eastern Oregon where I used to live got 1 degree.
We did get sun all day but still around mid 20's today.
 
Can't remember the last time it was ever this cold..
The cold snap that’s on the Midwest in general and my part of Illinois in particular….. while not common to see negative teens F, it does happen. Fortunately not every year like clockwork. But often enough we don’t forget. First of next week we should be back above freezing.
 
I'm so disappointed. I watched the news tonight and they were showing snow all around me, but where I live it just rained all day. Kingsport is literally about 10 minutes up the road and they got 7"... we got rain. :confused2:

Our extreme cold warnings are wrapping up tomorrow as well. Still gonna be cold for a few more days. But we will be stair stepping our way above 0 F. Then by this time next week we should have highs above freezing. It’ll feel like summer.
