So Anyway...

Our cat won’t come and sit with us in the house, but the dogs will, I sometimes have to move the white one , because she likes my spot, and she’s the one who sits next to me when I am in the house .
have 10 dogs and 5 casts-- there is always a SQUAD of critters around-- near -- on under me......right now I have 5 dogs and a cat slumbering by me while I noodle on the GROTE in improvisational crappy jazz type tones

My back prefers the living room floor, and my wife likes the TV on all night, I have insomnia so it’s a good thing, sometimes in the morning (Sunday’s) the little white dog will come in and give me kisses.
Cheers

I toss and turn so much the animals dont think about getting in bed.

Chas, from 1996 thru 2014 ish I spent every winter freezing in my house due to saving money with no heat. I was a wee bit warm if I managed to have enough firewood for the winter to live in basically just the living room. SO, when I got my pitbull in 2008, she became my hot water bottle under the covers as we made our cocoon on the couch until morning. Most times I felt lucky if I managed to get the temps up above 60 and not see my breath inside the house during winter. There were some times I got so used to the cold, I often considered spending the night in the woods with my hunting gear, and simply waking up right when the deer were in their prime moving hours and not spook them as I approached my spots.

I know what Adrian means when he chooses to stay in FL A

If friends came to visit me in winter, I used to tell them to hurry and close the front door. " I didn't want them to let the heat IN"
