So Anyway...

Anyways..Firebird is in drop C#( been a long time )...and maybe a new amp will appear to celebrate the occasion..wife unfortunately will be down & not be able to sing for awhile..going to get some heavies out of my system. It's tough to finish songs until the vocals go on..almost always ..some phrasing or placement needs to move a bit. Anyways...bass....seem to have more bounce in the songs when record the bass first & way less guitars..use them to accent more..but riff building makes for more of a matching type vs running the bass around.

anyone ever forget the chords to their own songs ?

I dont have whole songs, but come up with some riffs or licks and forget them the next day sometimes.

I do believe we are brother with different mothers. I cant count the number of times I have work a good riff, and the next day dont have a clue.
This is why I want to get a interface to record to the computer.

I only know bit and pieces of songs anymore. I spend more time tinkering than playing.
I was never that good to start with.

Yes, it was challenging.

I bet, I have one house that has a boiler and hot water baseboard for heat. The unit was working, but some of the water pipes had leaks and or corrosion really bad. I attempted to fix the leaks back in about 2013 but it was super cold in the house plus the basement is a rough dug out OLD house affair. Once my initial plumbing was done and cycled the boiler on, I made headway, but apparently still had issues, because only some convector zones heated up, and others did not.

I put it on hold ever since. No one lives there, but if I decide to rent or sell, I will basically go over the whole system.

@ChasFred , I did recently start recording new riffs / licks on my phone, just as a reminder.
If I hear it again I remember how to play it.

and @chilipeppermaniac
but I got lazy and forgot one I liked a few days ago!

I am trying my best to learn whole songs - at least one of the rhythm guitars.
The last couple of weeks I went back trying to get a better handle on Aerosmith Lick and a Promise, and more of Led Zep the Rover, Thin Lizzy The Boys are Back in Town, and Jailbreak. Songs I learned parts of but never followed through.
Add Thin Lizzy Emerald to the mix too.
Of course there are others but these I have a lot of the song and either need the rest and / or play through more smoothly, in time, less mistakes.
