That beautiful looking SG Special I used to have, the one that was riddled with issues, it had a horrible neck dive too. Not even a wide, high friction strap helped. My 2011 SG standard has no neck dive at all, it's just well balanced but it's also fairly heavy for an SG.One of the common complaints that I see with the SG is the neck dive. I have found a cure that works for me. I use a wide suede strap. No neck dive. Try it, you'll like it.

I think neck diveis worse on the lighter specimens and definitely worse on those that have the early 60's neck joint with the very short tenon.

Me too!I use the BB King Method

The ladies mightBoth hands in the air to get the audience going! Doesn't have the same effect with the guitar neck flopping between your legs like a big red strap-on![]()

I have seen him live twice now and every time it is amazing! I didn't even grow to be a big The Who fan until I saw them live. Hell Roger & Devin put Eric Clapton to shame when I saw him. They came out and pumped the crowd, everyone was pumped, I was 2nd row in front of Devin then Clapton (who I love, my Dad's favorite) came out and put everyone to sleep. I left amazed and disappointed at the same time.If that doesn't work, I threaten it by saying, HEY you BItch, If you neck dive, I will smash the livingout of you.

I find it a bit hard to play with both hands in the air. Perhaps I might be able to tap with my shmeckle. Both hands in the air to get the audience going! Doesn't have the same effect with the guitar neck flopping between your legs like a big red strap-on![]()
