I've really been getting into mixing and mastering here of late and i have found that getting a good sound - on a wide range of devices - isn't as simple as I had originally considered it to be...
When I found a mix that sounded great on one device, it was less than memorable on others. So, I am now coming up with a mix down that is a good average across the three most common devices - I-phone, i-pad and PC speakers.
Little nuances, like the octave-apart electric rhythms and the octave-apart trill in the verse sections are largely unheard in the current mixes, as is the acoustic guitar track.
