Got the word:

My coworker tested positive.

So now I have to get tested. And to think the guys he worked with for a few days at the beginning of the week, now spent a good amount of time at a retirement home.
Thats absolutely awful and downright enough to piss anyone off. Reckless, plain and simple. I hope very dearly you dodge this nightmare dude

I was beyond fortunate to dodge a direct exposure from two patients that got wheeled into the hospital we're working at a few weeks ago and i mean one was RIGHT beside us before we knew. I went home, isolated, wore a mask indoors even, sprayed EVERYTHING with Lysol and lived in one room for a solid week. Got tested, carried on with the isolation until i got a full clear from the doctors. Only thing i think that saved me was my mask and i scrub my hands endlessly around this stuff

But my co worker on another job wasnt so lucky. He went to his grandfather's funeral Saturday before last, hugged family and all. By sunday night he was showing symptoms. Monday morning he was already positive and actually contracted Strep Throat in addition. Before he knew it, his 10 month baby caught it ( she did amazingly well believe it or not), most of the family at the funeral caught it and within 5 days, his wife contracted it and shes now in the ICU. Shes already received donor plasma from a Covid recovery patient, remdesivir and a pound of steroids. Not doing well and they're talking about a ventilator if they cant get this under wraps.

Shes 30 years old and had no health issues. A respiratory therapist, ironically enough. Its terrible out there, man

Is it any wonder why corporations are trying to get protections from being sued by their employees if they should contract Covid on the job? What would they do if they, like in Ghost's situation, where they sent an employee to a work site and caused an outbreak? The legal ramifications are huge.

Got my test done this morning. What an unpleasant experience. LOL! Now to hunker down for the next three or four days until I get my results back.

Kind of feel like a roadie after coming back from a tour.

best of luck man, i hope you dont have it...

Well it's official now, vaccine shortage.
there will not be enough vaccine to start mass immunization of USA until at least June of 2021.
sorry for the inconvenience.

I mean I didn't need to be an expert to figure that one out.

You will need to keep wearing masks, following the rules, and hope you don't croak. For at least another 7-12 months from now.

Apparently somebody "could have" ordered more vaccine doses, but they passed on it.
We are about 690 million doses too short of that goal...(2 doses per person for 340 million people)

Are you suggesting using this forum is spreading COVID?
Everybody put on a mask (now).
