Why make light of the people who get covid and die from a heart attack??
I am not making light of it, it's been a terrible thing but I am just pointing out the facts on the deaths, I am not the only one saying the numbers are off.
I'll add so if someone is shot and happen to test positive for Covid that's a Covid death right? Those are the kind of things included in the Covid numbers.

I don't believe so, no. I think it is Covid related as they word it. An 80 year old with COPD is in a rough way to begin with if they get covid and everything gets inflamed, they die. That is covid related, not COPD. It doesn't matter exactly what the numbers are, I have friends in health care and it is right scary. Many people get over it and have long lasting effects. Nomone actially dies of covid. They die of lung congestion, high BP, etc etc brought on by covid. Thus covid related. I don't care if the number is actially half. It is still far too much.

I agree, my lady works in a nursing home and friends are a bunch of nurses with one being on the board of one hospital, I have also been sitting at Pittsburgh hospitals for the past 4-5 months. I am no expert at all. Just saying the facts and what I see. Thankfully the vaccines are here. We need to start holding people accountable.

Yeah you're right there. COVID itself is like AIDS in the sense of : you dont die of the disease itself, rather the complications it brings on. That can be anything from pulmonary to cardiovascular. It weakens your immune system to the point of uselessness against basic other problems that under normal conditions, one would survive.

Pretty nasty lil thing and its side effects are constantly evolving. The CDC is now looking into tooth loss due to a large number of survivors complaining of that once cleared. It literally has a melting pot of maladies it can bring

Id say if the vaccine DOES what it claims to, which pending on what brand you get claims they're between 90-94.5% effective, then after 6 months if no bad side effects or signs appear after dosing is issued; then id say the governments should do what they did with polio and smallpox and make it a legal requirement. Sure you'll get the anti-vaxxers who'll cry and fight, probably make it a major legal battle, but screw them. They should be fined annually every year they refuse the vaccine, kinda like saying " I dont agree with paying taxes": you can maintain that belief but you're still gonna pay them or haul yourself off to federal prison lol

They should also be branded, or forced to wear a scarlet letter to let everyone know they are antivaxers. That way they can be denied entrance to places where they will expose others to potential harm.

Yesterday, during a company call, I was informed that one of our co-workers had an exposure on Sunday to someone who tested positive. He's been around a few of us, including me who saw him at the office on Tuesday. We are waiting to hear for his results since he went yesterday morning, after he learned of the exposure. He finds out later today or tomorrow.

In the mean time, two of his install techs, who worked with him all day Monday and part of Tuesday, are at a retirement home today doing another install, even though they could have been exposed. Our company called the client and the client wanted us to be there installing, so I assume they gave the okay. This is the kind of thing that just irks me to no end. "Be safe but only when it's convenient" seems to be the mantra.

I've isolated myself as much as I can in the mean time until I hear back to my coworkers test. We are such failures as a society.

Dammit man im sorry that happened. You're doing the right thing at least by isolating. Hopefully its a lucky miss and they arent infected , thus spreading it to you as well. Its a living nightmare just trying to exist these days let alone make an honest buck without playing russian roulette with your health

Well yesterday, Health Canada has approved the Pfhizer vaccine. Thousands of shots will start to be given out next week, I believe the front line workers and nursing homes will be done first. The shot will not be mandatory, but for those who get the shots will be given a card, if you have a card you will be able to go to a movie theatre, spots complex etc, when the Government decides its safe enough to reopen these places. If you don't have a card to say you have had covid vaccine, too bad, you wont be able to go to these venues where there is larger gatherings, this is what has been coming out. I'm all for it.

Hoping for the best for you Ghosty. Sending possibly infected persons into a retirement home? Don't these people have two brain cells to put together to understand the risk to the most vulnerable to this virus?

Exactly. Here I was thinking it would be cancelled and moved to after the Holiday's, but nope. Got several calls today from the Tech onsite doing installation. Questions that could have been answered had they given me the time I requested to test things in-house.

Not to mention that you may have exposed your own family unknowingly. You're right. We as a society are definitely circling the drain.

the most aggravating part? Is we have the vaccine now: its right there at our fingertips and people are beginning to receive the first batch and what are we doing? Running around like we're already cured, with no masks, no common sense to protect yourself or others, hanging out in large gatherings. Its pitiful. We are our own worst enemies
