Those boards pop out and in pretty easily. With modern lead-free solder I hate that kind of job. You have to rough up the back of the pots and hope the crappy solder sticks. A complete Les Paul pcb can be had for about $40 from guitar ghouls. I know, I know, you must have your old point to point to maximize the sound, otherwise the tonewood faeries won't appear.............

I feel that PCBs cut down on options. Even if they could be purchased cheaply and installed easily, point-to-point soldering provides on the spot flexibility to wire in a variety of configurations and change it very easily. Also, if it fails, it can be fixed quickly and easily - that is, if you can figure out the problem!

Not as quick and easy as the system ol Roberts looking at from GFS......no soldering needed complete harness is 22.00 and its plug and play with the GFS line of pups....... kinda neat really-----

The day everyone has the same plug to play with, then it will be easier. If you must have this brand of plug with this board (ie proprietary items), I am not interested. Also, can the board do split, parallel and series on the same pup on the same board, 50s and standard wiring, push pulls or normal pot,etc?

oh no plugs are proprietary----- now if we can start a business selling the ADAPTERS to allow you to use GFS pups with GIBBO pcb bords......thats a million dollar idea!!!!! --probably have to pirate them in China ---

Not necessarily. I think Agile's hold their own with Gibson's costing thousands. Would I trade? Well no, but only because of value, resale and commercial conditioning (which means I am still somewhat of a cork sniffer). But if you invited me to your home and there were a bunch of guitars on the wall, yes, there is a good chance I would grab the Agile before many Gibsons. Or if I knew nothing of brands and I was shopping without reference to $$$, I surmise that that it is very likely that the Agile would be the one to come home with me. Or if you asked me tomgrab a guitar and hotmthe stage for a song, I would very likely grab the Agile because of my experience with their consistent playability out of the box

Just think of it, chil'ren. The PCB could be printed with both modern and '50s wiring on the SAME PCB, and you could select which you wanted. It could have a DIP switch on the PCB that allowed you to switch to your preferred setup. Say you got bored with that? Well, pop the back off, slide some DIP switches and you're in business with your new wiring scheme.

Well Gents, this one is definitely getting real wiring and covered PAF's. In the interim, I still practice with it at low volumes, where it doesn't buzz and squeal. Here is a short clip of last night's rehearsal....just a little bit of the Hotel California solo, played through a DSL40C with no effects other than delay...
