I have not finished reading all of the thread yet, but I wanted to chime in. I like this idea, I like it a lot. Yes Don O, Sp8ctre, gball and a couple others are all close enough to each other to make this happen, no shipping required. This could even be the primer to get our west coast MOTM going.

I see an opening here for a few different pass around projects. Perhaps one could be just a pass, play and with no mods. Take and post pics of the person that receives it and post your review of the guitar. Braver members may wish to offer a Frankenstein project for members to operate on. The guitar ends back where it started with owner keeping any mods that were done.

We should keep each guitar pass around project in a separate thread just for that one guitar. The originator/owner would specify the rules such as no mods, or go wild. A concern that everyone needs to consider is.... you may not get your guitar back or back in playable condition. We have a great group here, but I read in this thread more than one similar pass around project getting halted by ends unexpected. So anyone participating in this would have to understand and agree that in no way at all will The Tone Rooms forum, The Tone Rooms Admins or Moderators will be held responsible if a guitar ends up damaged or missing.

Not sure if anti-apocalyptic guitar case is really needed if a regular cheapy case with proper packaging and materials is used.

Hold me out for this round. I have too much on my plate right now. I barely have time to play my own guitars and have no time to work on my existing mod projects. Yesterday was my first day off in 5 weeks. My wife and son had my fat a$$ walking all over the beach. I wanted to work on my car today, but my legs and feet are tired and sore from yesterday. Monday I go back to 1 week on 1 week off after hours schedule.
