Maybe a vote or poll of the participants as to what mods are kosher.

No Idea...it's a cheap Epiphone Special that I already did a repaint on...and it's not my best work. Everything else is stock.
Well I'm game. I'm not sure about the mod angle though, unless on an inexpensive model. Shipping it with the case will require a box and bubble wrap,etc (I have about ten guitar case size boxes in the attic). That's kinda why I was thinking something like an Anvil case, but they ain't cheap, but they can be shipped any where for many years. I'll do some more homework on shipping cases and report back.

just because SOMETHING turns gold doesnt mean it ALL turns Gold-- and MODS would be a discreationary --- discussed option I would think ---
I mean HEY SHREDDY-- you sent me your Axe-- would you LIKE the 2 pups I have here installed? if no -- -groovy I will sing....rub my junk on it and send it on its way----
and so on.....down the line--- we DONT have to reinvent the wheel on every axe---
I think we can trust the brethren here NOT to DOUCHE another member and steel his good pups--- or any such childishness-- plus we are enough of us in proximity to one another hunting down and killing is NOT out of the question-------
IF you are not confident of a MODS out come --- (like the dual floyd triple neck wangdoodler) -- then I suggest "passing" on the execution unless the owner of said geetar approves-- in public/writing-- then
like sending a Firebird Zero to Hack for TRIFECTION SURGERY -- ya rolls da dice GENTS!

I agree ADRIAN. It should be a group ( forum) consensus on any mods. I would hope everyone played nice in this fun sounding game. We're all big kids here and you're right... the person passing it on has your address, so don't be a d!@&. I really think this is a cool idea and would love to be involved.
