NPAD - Kemper

I Officially hate you all...now I want a Kemper Kone to play with and put in one of my Cabs.

Every time I think I'm happy someone brings out a new toy for me to try...

Anyone want to buy two Celestion Vintage 30 12" 16 Ohm speakers, Like New!
Do it! Gotta have some fun, right?

I just read that I can use my Weber Attenuators to do direct Amp profile, so no mic or can required.

I can also record an amp/cab combo with multiple mics through my mixer.

Apparently, I can do both of these procedures consecutively for a "merged" profile. I understand that this is the best method if you will be swapping cab profiles in Kemper.

I am inclined to do just the Direct Amp profile to remove the limits of my room dynamics and micing skills
I haven't tried the attenuator thing yet. I have a Rivera Rockcrusher Recording I could use. I did a couple of profiles of my PRS Custom 50 combo but wasn't all that impressed with the results. I suck at micing I guess

I will try three methods at first - direct, straight mic'd profile, and merger. Then we will compare.

Oh, I had already "Done" it last night before I posted that message. The Kemper Kone is on the way to my house...

...and I looked up my old Camplifier, it was the 360. I recall the "Quiet" fan was annoying me due to the unit sitting on a table right
beside me. I also didn't care for the sound I was getting with it. It seemed flat, unresponsive and weak for 180 Watts a channel.

I will state for the record it could have been all me. I was no Kemper expert at the time and I'm still not, but I have made mine work
"FOR ME".

That is very interesting, and kind of lines up with my observations of my 290. Even in bridged mode the 180w seems anemic.
And congrats on the pending Kone arrival!

Im with Jt..........I would hit it with a hammer........

Hey Ray --- you wont need the Pedal Condo anymore with a Kemper!!! ;)

I would call dibs but I wouldnt know what to do with all of them ----Id probably just have a melt down------
