Speaking of Hiwatt, any of you guys have experience with the Super-Hi 50? I am so damn curious about what a high-gain Hiwatt sounds like but have not found one in the wild.

I think the PCB's have gone the way of the dodo. Didn't matter to me either way, they sound exactly the same.

The Gibson I had had a pcb, I really didn’t mind at all. The only issue I saw is if I wanted to switch pickups other than Gibson quick connect. (I know I know, says the guy that has a thing for EMG’s) but I did love those dirty fingers

PCB's are another point for failure and they make mods more difficult...plus, I'm old school point to point guy. Remember I learned electronics while tubes were still in heavy use.
We troubleshot our repairs down to the component level back in the day. No circuit card swapping!
