The radio had a power amp called the 30L1. It had some monster output tubes! You could warm up your hands on a cold day with this thing! 1000 Watts output!

The Gibson I had had a pcb, I really didn’t mind at all. The only issue I saw is if I wanted to switch pickups other than Gibson quick connect. (I know I know, says the guy that has a thing for EMG’s) but I did love those dirty fingers

My Strats outnumber my SG's by 8:1...

...and I wanted a Humbucker guitar and REFUSE to do that to a Strat!

I think I'm about 9:1 on Strats myself unless you include my '89 Yamaha RGX Custom guitar which is a super-strat by comparison. That blueberry burst sure looks delicious.

Someone asked earlier about neck dive with the new placement of the strap button. Well it didn't solve the problem. The black leather strap I have is very smooth and the guitar falls forward
when I stand up. I'm looking for a suede backed strap now as it's the only thing that has solved the neck dive issue for me in the past.

I have no desire to buy the Gillis Strat----though as a professional international touring and recording musician -- I find the guitar intriguing-- it seems to be a TOOL-- USED for what it is for-- not revered worshiped or coddled --etc.
the price is stupid -- but I respect the TOOL- and I think it would be fun to hear the stories it could tell if it could talk

Speaking of Hiwatt, any of you guys have experience with the Super-Hi 50? I am so damn curious about what a high-gain Hiwatt sounds like but have not found one in the wild.
